CJIS-Aligned Security
Chuqlab operates within AWS U.S. commercial regions, using CJIS-aligned controls (encryption at rest and in transit, MFA, access logging, background-screened personnel) to help law enforcement agencies maintain their own CJIS compliance.
Terms of Service
Effective date: October 2025
These Terms govern the use of Chuqlab's SaaS offerings, including CrimeMiner.
Subscription Plans

Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload illegal or unauthorized data
- Use CrimeMiner for non-lawful investigations
- Reverse engineer or resell the service
Data & Security
All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Hosting occurs within AWS U.S. commercial regions.
Governing Law
Indiana law governs this agreement.
End User License Agreement (EULA)
Effective date: October 2025
This grants a limited, non-transferable license to use CrimeMiner as per your active subscription.
Restrictions
You may not:
- Exceed licensed seats or hours
- Share credentials or sublicense
- Modify, decompile, or distribute Chuqlab code
Termination may occur for any material breach. All rights not expressly granted remain Chuqlab's property.
Privacy Policy

Chuqlab collects minimal data to operate and improve its services.
Data Collected
Account details, uploaded media, system logs
Storage
Encrypted in AWS U.S. commercial regions
Access
Strictly limited to authorized, background-screened personnel
Retention
Data deleted upon customer request or contract end
Sub-processors: AWS, Postmark, Supabase, OpenAI API

- Analytics and usage optimization

Data Processing Addendum (DPA)

Chuqlab acts as Processor; customers act as Controller.
Security Commitments
- AES-256 encryption at rest
- TLS 1.2+ in transit

- Audit logging and incident notification
No international transfers — all processing is U.S.-based.
CJIS Alignment & Security Statement
Chuqlab supports law enforcement customers by implementing CJIS-aligned controls:
- AWS U.S. commercial region hosting
- MFA and RBAC
- Background checks for staff
- Encryption at rest/in transit
- Detailed audit logs and reviews
Chuqlab is CJIS-aligned, not certified; agencies retain their local compliance duties.
